On the occasion of The International College of Surgeons 40th Biennial World Congress, Professor Art Hiranyakas, MD, the Director of Bangkok-Phuket Colorectal Disease Institute, Bangkok Hospital Phuket, was invited to the Board of Governors meeting in Kyoto, Japan. He was also elected from the Board of Governors to serve as the Governor for another term.
The International College of Surgeons (ICS) is a global organization dedicated to bringing together surgeons and surgical specialists of all nations, races, and creeds to promote surgical excellence for the benefit of all mankind and to foster fellowship worldwide. ICS was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1935 by Dr. Max Thorek and is headquartered in Chicago at the historic E.T. Blair mansion on the shores of Lake Michigan.
